When to Replace Your Battery for Vehicle

Most car batteries last 3 to 5 years, depending on driving habits and climate. You should consider a replacement if:

  • The battery fails a load test.
  • It requires frequent jump-starts.
  • The case is damaged or leaking.
  • It is over 4 years old in a hot climate.

Step-by-Step Battery Replacement Guide

Tip: If you’re not confident, let a professional handle replacement to avoid injury or electrical damage.

  1. Turn Off the Engine & Disconnect Power
    • Remove the negative (black) cable first, then positive (red).
  2. Remove the Old Battery
    • Carefully lift it out—it’s heavy!
  3. Clean the Tray & Connectors
    • Prevents corrosion on the new battery.
  4. Install the New Battery
    • Place it securely, connect positive cable first, then negative.
  5. Test the Installation
    • Start the engine and check all electrical systems.
