Front Camber Angle

The camber angle will affect the parts on the inner or outer edge of the tire. Camber is the inclination of the centerline as viewed from the front of the vehicle. The front camber angle is measured in positive or negative degrees. Negative camber is the tilt of the tire at the top. If a tire was fully vertical, the degree of camber would be zero. The camber will change with vehicle load and ride height. In the vehicle, the front left camber will increase and the front right camber will decrease. The downward thrust of the vehicle body will cause the front camber to go negative. As the vehicle steering movement returns upward, the front camber will go positive. As the camber oscillates, the adjustment will also change with each movement of the arm.
